Transformer house in an 18th century setting
|
Transformer house from the former Stroomverkoopmaatschappij in Nuth (NL). The transformer house was built against a national monument from 1774 (De Pastorij) in the same style with a mansard roof. The Stroomverkoopmaatschappij was founded by the state mines to sell the power they produce. It was active between 1909 and 1933 and was subsequently transformed into PLEM (Provinciale Limburgse Elektriciteits-Maatschappij)
